Bible Reading- Nehemiah 12; Hebrews 1:1-7
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds” – Hebrews 1:1-2
No generation has ever passed without a voice from God in that generation. God, from ages past, has never kept any of His children in the dark as to His ways and operation. God, though, spoke with our fathers of faith in the days of old through the prophets, and has now decided to communicate to us in these days and time through His Son. But why the choice of His Son? The following are the reasons for that:-
He is the heir of all things (Heb. 1:2).
He is the express image of God (Col 1:15).
He upholds all things by the word of His power (Heb 1:3).
He alone purged us from our sin (.
He is better than the angels (Heb 1:4).
He has more excellent name than the angels (Heb 1:4).
He receives even the worship of angels (Heb 1:6).
These and many more has projected God as the God that cares for His people in all generations. The question that should therefore resonate in you is, since God has then been talking to people in all ages and now through His Son, have I yielded my all to Him? It is when you appropriate all these, that He shall in turn make you a flame of fire. The essence of the death of His Son must never be in vain in your life. Surrender to Him today before it is too late.
Prayer Point: Father, as you have been speaking to people in all ages, help me not to miss the voice of Your Son, Jesus.
