Bible Reading: Esther 6; Hebrews 4:9-16
“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do” – Hebrew 4:13 (KJV)
When man understands that God is all-seeing, all-knowing, it shall, no doubt, change the trajectory of his life. The world is full of unknown evil perpetrators who have sold their conscience to the devil and have refused to allow change made available by the Lord to have influence on them. The increase in crimes, kidnapping, theft, forgery, robbery etc. clearly indicates to us that all these practitioners did not realise that all things are naked to God including them. David understood this well in his day when he said: “whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I say, surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hiddeth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee” – Psalm 139:7-8, 11-12. How I wish that the eyes of understanding of all shall open to this eternal truth for them to change the course of their lives!
There is nothing we can hide away from God. It is against this background that we should confess to Him of all that we have been lured to do in the ‘secret’ without the knowledge of even our spouses, bosses, children, church members, friends etc. Secret fornication, adultery, stealing, bribe, smoking, pornography and others were actually done in His very presence and it must never be swept under the carpet for any reason. Rather, it should be mentioned to God who was there when the evil is being done. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” – 1 John 1:8-9 (KJV).
What are those things the Holy Ghost is convicting you of now that you are still struggling with? Please, open up to Him right now. Get on your knee right now and make your errors known to God with genuine repentance.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to be conscious of your presence anywhere and in all that I do in the name of Jesus Christ.
