Bible Reading: Job 41; 1 Peter 2:17-25.
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
When a man dies and leaves his properties for his children by his will, such properties belong to the children. However, if they do not open the will and read the contents, they may not know what had been left for them. For them to get the benefit of the will, they need to open it and claim their rights. If they refuse to open the will and so do not claim their rights, that does not change the fact that the properties belong to them.
So it is with several Christians when it comes to healing. The bible says in 1 Peter 2:24 (KJV): “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
The Lord Jesus bore our sins on the cross and so nailed all forms of sicknesses and diseases on the cross so that we may be healed. However our ability to remain whole depends on our fulfillment of some basic conditions. First, you must be truly born again, must be living a life of righteousness, constantly feed on the word of God (2Tim 2:15), pray to God ceaselessly (1 Thes 5:17), do regular body exercises ( 1 Timothy 4:8), eat well and exercise faith ( Heb. 11:6).
Exercise of faith is a crucial part, and so the individual relying on spiritual healing must be one who truly believes that this will work for him. Sometimes the sickness comes but if you pray to God and you believe God answers your prayers, then be rest assured, you will be made whole. I experienced this sometimes but having gone through this process before, it has become easy trajectory for me. I always commit any pain or seeming sickness to God reminding him that by His stripes, I am healed and I have not been disappointed for several years now.
It is pertinent that sin is often a major source of sickness and so a way of minimizing incidences of sickness is by avoiding sins. If you have been plagued by any sickness that is yet to be healed, lay your hand on the part of your body with the pain or put your hand on your head for general sickness and I pray that every sickness habitation in your body be uprooted now in Jesus name.
Action Plan
Anytime you are feeling sick or anyone around you is feeling sick, just lay your hands on your head and pray that every plant that God has not planted in your body should be uprooted now in Jesus name.
