Father give me the grace to trust and obey you always.
Bible reading: Genesis 24,25,26.
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.” – Gen. 26:12 (KJV).
Isaac was the son of a great father. Abraham and Sarah treasured him and passed on their faith and values, and God reiterated Abrahamic promises to him.
Isaac’s faith and obedience when Abraham bound him as a sacrifice is exemplary, for he must have truly believed God and what his father had told him: “…my son, God himself will provide the lamb for a burnt offering,…” (Gen. 22:8).
There was a famine in the land,
So Isaac dwelt in Gerar. Isaac obeyed God’s warning and stayed in the land.
Like Abraham, Isaac sowed in that land. Prosperity came to Isaac as the blessing upon his hard work. He probably received enough of an inheritance from his father that he did not have to work, but worked hard nonetheless, and God blessed him and he became very prosperous, that the Philistines and his neighbors envied him. In short, Isaac had inherited a large family business and considerable wealth. Like his father, he did not hoard it, but fulfilled the role that God had chosen for him to pass on the blessing that would extend to all nations.
Isaac was a responsible son that the people came to him saying “We have certainly seen that the LORD is with you.” They could see that the covenant God, was with Isaac and had blessed him.
Obedience is indeed the test that secures our change of levels. It takes the obedience of the word of God to see the manifestation of what is written. If You don’t obey what He said, you can’t receive what He has provided. You can’t claim to love him and ignore His commandments.
Isaac sowed in that land and that same year reaped a hundredfold. This is your Isaac order of year; if you can trust and obey God, you will not be sweating, yet you will be breaking forth. Just trust and obey!!!.
