Bible reading Exodus 14, 15
“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” – Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
Moses in front of the Red Sea, Pharaoh’s army coming behind, insurmountable mountains left and right, the people yelling, “Did you bring us out here to die, Moses? Is this what it’s all about”? And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, the Egyptians you see now, you shall see no more! Same thing, see Jesus. Stand still, see the invisible in that your situation, the one who loves you, the one who cares for you, the one who gave his life for you, look at him right Now! The Egyptians, the problems, the disease you see on the x-ray, that condition in your child, that lack, the huge debt you are supposed to pay that you see today you shall see again no more forever, why? The Lord will fight for you and you will hold your peace.
Faith begins in your words. God spoke the earth into existence. If you speak against the very thing you believe, you cancel your faith. Stop complaining and murmuring. Your cry of self pity will not move God. Rather, your cry of Faith is what pleases Him.
So, learn to look at your problems now. Face your fears, like moses. If the devil say, “What are you going to do about it”? Say, “The battle is not mine, it’s the Lord’s. Lord, this is your battle. Through out this year, “Lord, this is your battle”. Stand strong. Declare it!
When the Red sea felt the presence of the lord, the sea parted and the children of Israel passed through victoriously. That will be your testimony from now. The lord indeed will fight for you.
Prayer:
Father. I put my cares and worries in your hands. Fight for me today.
