” And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord , which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever”. – Exodus 14:13 KJV
Generally, when a door is closed, another door is opened unto us but many times we look at the closed door with so much sorrow that we do not see the door that is opened.
We need to recognize that we serve a loving father who cares for our lives and is always interested in our being. He is ready to move us forward at all times but we need to seek his face to know his mind and consequently the way out of our situation.
The problem is that most of us are too preoccupied with our challenge that we mourn and cry over the situation but fails to do the critical thing which is to seek to know the mind of God over the situation.
When Israelites were confronted with the Red Sea in front and the Egyptian army behind them, they were perplexed but thank God Moses sought the face of God to know his mind concerning their crisis. Listen to God’s response: Exodus 14:15 KJV “And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:”
Just as He responded to the Israelites, God is speaking to us on the way forward but we need to be attentive and focus more on him and less on the challenge. Just as Moses spoke the mind of God to the Israelites in Exodus 14:13, God is speaking directly to you this day.
Prayer: Father, help me to focus on you in the midst of my challenges and remove every inhibition to my hearing your voice.
