Bible Reading: Joshua 13,14,15. Luke 1:61-80
“That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear.” – Luke 1:74 (KJV)
Salvation, amongst other benefits, delivers us from the hand of our enemies to serve God without fear. Jesus’ death and resurrection broke the stranglehold of fear of death which has kept many people back from truly serving God. However, deliverance from our enemies starts with our choice and decision to serve God.
When the Israelites made the decision to go serve God in the wilderness, He came down through the man, Moses, to set His people free. God came down hard on Pharoah and Egypt for refusing to let His people go serve Him. It eventually led to Pharoah and Egypt losing their firstborns (Gen 12:29). God has not changed. He is still the same. For any who makes the decision to serve, He delivers from the hold of the enemy.
Dear reader, if you are yet to make up your mind to truly serve God, please remember that you are either for Him or in the hand of the enemy. No man serves two masters; you are either serving God or the enemy. You are either free or in bondage of the enemy. Make that decision today.
Prayer: Father, help your people make that choice and decision to serve you, in Jesus name.
