Bible Reading: Nehemiah 12-13; Acts 4:20-37
“And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word” – Acts 4:29 (KJV).
A major factor that separates Christians from the world is the Word of God. The same Word that created the world is despised by many because of Satan’s lies since the beginning of the world. Jesus, the Word of God, says, “If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you” – John 15:18 (KJV).
The Word of God has the power to change and transform lives. Yet, the world would not accept it. So Christians must speak out with boldness wherever they found themselves. One proof that God wants to see men saved is the signs and wonders that accompany our bold speaking of the word. Signs certify the existence of a divine power, and to give warning or to encourage faith. Wonders are unusual events that cause the observer to marvel. Signs and wonders accompany our bold speaking (Mark 16:20).
We must pray for boldness, like the Apostles did, and signs and wonders to take place to face the challenges of the last days, especially in the area of preaching the Word. God wants all men saved. Our boldness is a proof that we love God and want all men saved too.
Prayer: Father, confirm the words of your servant with signs and wonders in Jesus name.
