Bible Reading: Job 25-27; Acts 12
“How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?” – Job 26:4 (KJV).
Justification means to be made righteous in God’s sight. Righteousness is being like God and having the same character as Him. But man born of a woman cannot be made righteous on his own because Justification comes from God.
When God created man he was righteous, but sin brought him out of his righteous state to a lower level. To save the perishing man, God in His wisdom sent Christ to die for man that any who believe in Him might have everlasting life (John 3:16 ). Faith in Jesus, therefore, is what makes us righteous or justified (Galatians 2:16).
The love of God made Him send Christ for our justification. Yet, many are yet to key into this act of God. If you have faith in Jesus you must show this faith by your works (James 2:17-18) by doing the same thing Jesus and his disciples did, taking the kingdom message and love of God to the world. Only by believing in Jesus and walking in faith by our works can man be justified.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for making me righteous through Christ.
