Bible reading in one year: Ps. 126, 127 & 128; 1 Cor 10:17-33
“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain – Psalm 127:1 (KJV)
Unless our efforts are aimed at fulfilling God’s plan in God’s own way, the results will be meaningless. Only what comes from God and has His blessing is truly valuable in life. On the other hand, if God is not the top priority in our lives, activities, goals, and families, then our efforts are in vain and will end in frustration, disappointment and wasted time.
For this reason, we should seek God’s purposes and guidance in all things from the start. We must make sure that our plans are from God and that we are following His direction in life. That means allowing His Spirit to guide us, rather than depending on our own ideas, plans, and efforts.
