Bible Reading: Psalm 143, 144, 145; 1 Corinthians 14:21-40
“Ride me and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood” -Psalm 144:11 (KJV).
Events of these last days seem very fearful, strange things happen on daily basis. The kind of things that we see in our world today makes it clear without an iota of doubt that we are leaving in the very last days. Unthinking news and unimaginable happenings in our society have become the order of the day. Things that were not heard of in years past now happen almost on daily basis. If David could pray this kind of prayer in those days, it has become expedient now more than ever.
These are the days that the bible clearly states that iniquity shall abound. Indeed, the whole world lies in wickedness. We see all kinds of satanic activities that makes one wonder if some people walking on our streets are really human being or demonic beings.
The reason may not be farfetched considering the extent people go to get babies, to get political power or to acquire wealth and influence. People are prepared to sell their soul to the devil in pursuit of their life’s ambitions. Strange things indeed are happening and strange children, end time children are all over our society, with strange lifestyles and attitude.
The Psalmist was right to pray for deliverance from strange children. The gospel is the only solution and the only hope for this deprived generation. Ungodly, heartless children with abominable and wicked tendencies, all they think is evil continually because of their reprobate hearts. I pray that God will give us godly sons and daughters as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace; children that are indeed, the blessings of the Lord that make rich and add no sorrow. Jesus is the answer. Happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.
PRAYER: Oh Lord help us to raise our children as godly seeds.
