Bible Reading: Ezekiel 1, 2; Hebrews 11:1-20.
“Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him” – 2 Corinthians 5:9 (KJV).
Everyone in life aspires to share testimony of God’s faithfulness and mercy one receives at one moment or the other. We believe that testimony strengthens the faith of other people who may be going through similar challenge in life. No doubt, as a result of this effort, many have positively been affected and thus stirred up in their faith adventure.
As we read through scriptural passage that mentioned patriarchs in Hebrews 11, one thing was common to all of them, it is called faith. By faith Abel… By faith Enoch… By faith Noah… etc. However, when we got to Enoch whose life God did not permit to taste death. What happened? Why was his life so different? The scripture records about him: “Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. For even before his taken, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God” – Hebrews 11:5 (Amp)
The kind of testimony you should strive to have on daily basis is that which will unequivocally state that, you please God. Encourage your heart daily to look for what is acceptable, pleasing will of God and walk in it. By that you would be leave behind a testimony that speaks volume and endears heaven to you. Enoch means ‘dedicated’. Thus, Enoch lived out the meaning of his name by pleasing the Lord all the days of his life.
Prayer: Dear Lord, uproot from me all elements that are not making me to please You as I journey in this world in Jesus name.
