Bible Reading: Ezekiel 22, 23; 1 Peter 1
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you” – 1 Peter 1:3-4 (KJV).
Everyone that engages in business has the mind that at the end of the day a profit shall be gotten. With this in mind, the business owner puts in his best. Peter, in the above passage, was able to make it clear to his audience that the mercy of God through the resurrection of Christ has brought us into new life.
Jesus Christ made engaged Nicodemus when he accosted Christ and asked a question about how to be born again “There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and saith unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” – John 3:1-3 (KJV). The subject of conversion is therefore key to gaining the reserved inheritance which Peter spoke about. It is an inheritance that does not fade away which is reserved in heaven for you. It is my prayer that you shall not throw away the salvation which qualifies you for your reserved inheritance in Jesus name.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me not to miss my reserved gain in heaven in Jesus name.
