“And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me”. – Mark 10:48 KJV
There are several people that try ignorantly to stop you from moving forward though they may think they are helping you. This was the situation with blind Bartimaeus who heard that Jesus was passing by. He recognized that it was time for him to receive his healing and inspite of all the discouragement, he kept calling Jesus. His persistence paid off as Jesus stood still to attend to him. Jesus is ready to stand still to attend to you also if only you can focus your attention on him, disregard the distractions, remain persistent in your faith in the ability of Jesus to attend to your issues, change your garment of sin and call on Jesus for mercy. By mercy, blind Bartimaeus received his sight. He trusted Jesus. You will receive your sight too this morning in Jesus name. That which you had lost will be recovered today. Mark 10:48 KJV says
“And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me”.
Whatever we are, it is by the mercy of God. We cannot do anything by our power and in fact our hope rests on the mercy of God. ( 1 Pet 1:3). There is nothing impossible for God but only His mercy can deliver us from any situation or circumstance. And the Almighty dispenses with His mercy as he chooses. That’s why He said He would have mercy on whom He would have mercy; it’s not by right. (Rom 9:15)
Prayer: Father, by your mercy, heal me and make me whole physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually today in Jesus name.
