“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:” – Revelation 2:26 (KJVS)
Recently, a woman gave a testimony about her heaven experience. She was a Christian who was offended one afternoon and she did not fully forgave her offender but by night, she passed out and would have gone to hell but for passionate appeal of some saints on her behalf. She was then given another chance as she woke up in the hospital. Not many people will be given such a second chance and it is expedient that you exercise caution in all you do in order to finish well. I pray that you will finish this Christian race strong and well in Jesus name.
A few days ago, I was just complaining to a close associate that after you resign from your place of work, those left behind hardly accord you the kind of courtesies that they used to as they often focus on those that are there now. Then it occurred to me that this applies to virtually everywhere. That even in most churches, if you used to do some good work of giving and you no longer have the means and so unable to do such things again, they will shift focus from you to those who are currently able to give as the needs of people keep coming up.
While ruminating over this, then it occurred to me that this is the same with the expectations of heaven. What is your last assignment? If you had been having a great relationship with God for the past seventy years and suddenly you change and begin to do things against the will of God. If you die, you will not make heaven! The word of God says in Revelation 2:26 (KJVS), “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:”
The bible tells us of a robber who had been condemned to death for his robbery but in the last minute, he gave his life to Christ (Luke 23:42) and the Saviour responded in Luke 23:43 (KJVS), “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” So, the man made it to heaven! So what are you doing now? How focused on heaven are you now compared with the past. No wonder Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14 (KJVS), “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do , forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
You should examine yourself regularly and ensure that you remain in the Lord continuously.
Prayer point:
Father, give me the grace to serve you to the end in Jesus name.
