“Let us go forth therefore unto Him without the camp, bearing His reproach” – Heb. 13:13
When we are reproached and mocked for the purpose of the gospel, it is a sign of divine approval. So was Christ reviled, mocked and reproached at the cross where He died to redeem us. The bible says “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand the throne of God” – Heb. 12:2. He endured the insult and humiliation and despised the shame of the cross. We are to emulate His perseverance and endurance in order to inherit the glory that is set before us also. The mockery of men is a covenant highway to fulfillment of our glorious destiny in Christ. See Luke 6:22-23. We must therefore, be prepared to endure the mockery of men so we can enjoy the fullness of the glory that is set before us. We must develop ourselves to enjoying the mockery of men so that we can lay hold on wonders of eternal life.
Prayer: Father, grant me the grace to focus on Jesus Christ in all my Kingdom advancement engagement on earth not minding the mockery and reviling of men. In Jesus Name.
