“…………Because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. – Luke 1:20
Our present situation and circumstances cannot vitiate the fulfillment of divine prophecy. Zechariah considering his age and that of his wife doubted the words of angel Gabriel sent to him from the Lord. The angel stated emphatically that the words spoken to him shall be fulfilled in their season. The written words of God are divine prophecies coded as exceeding great and precious promises that must be fulfilled in their due seasons in our lives. Remember that heaven and earth shall pass away but the word of God abided forever. Between when the word is sown in our lives and its fulfillment there is a time factor that must be properly settled in our heart so as not to become weary and lose out in divine blessings. Apostle Paul stated this in Hebrew 10:35-36 “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” The word of God represents His voice speaking to us, for “…. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” – Romans 10:17. We must resist all doubts that the enemy will cause to arise in our heart concerning the Word of God, for “blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” – Luke 1:45.
Prayer: Father, grant me the grace to believe without doubt what your word has said concerning me. Fortify my heart Oh Lord from doubting your Word. In Jesus Name.
