…Spreading the gospel of Christ

Bible Reading: Psalm 78 & 79; Romans 11

God’s love for man is indescribable. Words can not totally capture the love He has for man since the beginning. David asked, “what is man that thou art mindful of him?” Psalm 8:4a (KJV). This love made Him keep man after several times of wanting to wipe out humanity. He did not, “For He knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust” Psalm 103:14 (KJV).

He decided to choose a people of His own, to make them an example for the world to follow after. He did this, not because of their works, but because of His love for them. He showed them love in every way a loving father would, yet, they provoked Him by following other gods. He gave them laws but they could not keep it. Then He sent His Son Jesus to die for all our sins.

God has since opened up this opportunity of coming close to Him to other nations of the world. Through His Son, Jesus, man from anywhere in the world can come to Him, If they believe in His Son. But His love for the Jews still remains intact to those who have accepted His Son only. Paul made it clear to the Jews that their unbelieve has worked positively for the good of the Gentiles.

Whether Jews or Gentile, all we need to do to be tied to Him is believe in Jesus, accept Him as Lord and Saviour of our lives and then He empowers us with His Spirit to do His Will on earth to His glory. No longer are we to strive hard to come to Him through the law. He has made all things beautiful through His Son.
