Bible Reading: Psalm 97, 98 & 99; Romans 16
“For I am the LORD, I change not..;” Malachi 3:6a (KJV).
The value of prayer lies in the answer you receive. If there were no answers to prayers a lot of people, if not all men, would have stopped praying. But we know from the bible and from the experiences we have gone through that we have a prayer-answering God.
The writer of Psalm, by the Holy Ghost, referred to fathers of old who asked God for help and He showed up. Psalm 99:6 (NLT) says, “Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.” God answers, however, you are to make the call.
God invites us to call on Him in Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV), “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Moses called on Him and He answered. He showed him great and mighty things; Moses was not there when God created the world, but God revealed the creation account to him. These wouldn’t have been known if men were not close to Him in prayer.
God is still revealing things to people. He is still God yesterday, today and tomorrow. So many mighty works were wrought and still being done today through His help. He has so many things He wants to tell you in your spiritual life, business, career, relationship, family life, and others. You never know what you are missing by not calling on Him.
Before you step out today, call on Him, ask Him for His plans for you today and see how how He blesses others through you.
Prayer: Father I thank You for the privilege to call on You. Thank You for aligning my thoughts to Yours through Your Spirit and Your Word. Thank you for answers to my calls.
