Bible Reading: Psalm 105 & 106; 1 Corinthians 3
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” Matthew 24:35 (KJV)
Many a times I have often wondered why we don’t always keep Gods word. Yes, we are imperfect humans moving toward perfection, with the sufficient grace of God. Yet, holding unto His Word with all our heart will help us keep His Word in full. God has spoken to His servants in time past and kept His word.
He spoke to Abraham and promised him a son out of his own loins. His word came to pass. He told him of a time that his descendants will be slaves to another nation, but that nation will be judged and His descendants will spoil them. It all came to pass when Israel left Egypt with riches. He promised Isaac He will bless him in the same land ravaged with famine if he stays. He did. And so on. Why then are we still in doubt with what His Word say?
Your strong position in the word of God will always attract opposition. Like it happened in the garden of Eden, the devil will come to twist God’s word so as to make you lose your ground. He knows God will never go back on His Word. Israel, God’s jewel, were brought low for their iniquity by not keeping to God’s word (Psalm 106:43).
What has God spoken to you directly or through your pastor? Hold on to His Word, keep them in your heart and do them. Only then can you get good success. In that area of health, career, job, family, relationship, business, and others that He has spoken to you, keep His word in your heart and thank Him everyday for His word till you see manifestations.
