Bible Reading: Psalm 116, 117 & 118; 1 Corinthians 7:1-20
“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me” Psalm 118:6 (KJV)
There is no man or woman on earth who has not faced one form of trouble or challenging situation before. What or who you are constantly conscious of will help you in trying times. Have you been faced with trouble? If you have, how did you face them? What gave you the confidence to face these trying times? What went through your mind in the midst of these challenges?
Confidence comes especially from who you have with you or who you are representing. Moses stood before the powerful Pharoah as a representative of the Most High. In fact, God told him, “See, I have made thee a god to Pharoah” (Exodus 7:1). Moses believed in the invisible and All-powerful God and dominated Pharoah and Egypt, the world power of that time. He did this because he believed in the One he was representing. You cannot have the backing of the Most High God and be afraid of man.
You must be conscious of who you are and who is with you. You are a child of God and an ambassador of heaven. If you are an ambassador, then the sender will always be with the sent. God reassured Joshua, “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” Joshua 1:5 (KJV). God will never send you and leave you alone. Paul was conscious of these and said, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31b.
You must be conscious of who is in you. You must be conscious that greater is he that is in you than he that is behind any trouble or trial you may be going through in the world (1John 4:4). Especially if you are of God, these trials tend to be more severe. But by the Spirit of God in us we overcome all the world throws at us and like David, we can confidently say, “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me” Psalm 118:6 (KJV).
Go out in these consciousness. God has not changed. He is still the same, looking after His own like never before. He is always with you and for you.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your constant presence around me, with me and in me.
