BIBLE READING: Psalm 143,144,145; 1 Corinthians 14:21-40
“Let all things be done decently and in order” 1 Corinthians 14:40 (KJV).
The God that created us is an orderly God. He is highly organized, His creation reveal order. The land, the sea, the stars and all the works of God’s Hands show decency and order. One cannot claim to be a child of God and be indecent or disorderly. God admonishes us to be decent and orderly.
When man fell he became disorderly, he was plundered into darkness and confusion and so he began to wallow in darkness, in sin and ignorance. All the works of God reveals order.
The call to growth and discipline is a call to decency and order. As one grows in the knowledge of God and obedience to his will, order and decency begins to set in. As he harnesses the tongue, the thoughts and actions, he begins to conform to Christ. The Christ life is the most decent life to live.
The word of God and the Holy Spirit help to shape a man’s destiny such that decency and order will be achieved. Growing the fruit of the Spirit brings order to a man’s life. Your life can be decent and orderly again as you allow God to manage it.
PRAYER: Lord, bring order into my life.
