BIBLE READING: ECCLESIASTIC 7,8,9 2CORINTHIANS 13.
‘‘I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all” Ecclesiastes 9:11(KJV).
In the issue of destiny God is the major factor. He orchestrates divine opportunities for people who put their trust in Him. If wealth is acquired by physical strength barrow pushers would have been the wealthiest people on earth.
Success in life and in any endeavour isn’t in anything that one’s physical might or strength produces or can produce; true success is in the Spirit and by the Spirit. It’s not about something you’re doing or not doing; it’s about your relationship with the Holy Spirit; that’s what makes the difference, and that’s the most important factor for your success. The Bible says, “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy” Romans 9:16 (KJV).
How often do you chart your own course thinking you can make it outside God? Until and unless you acknowledge that you need God, life will be for you a hard journey. You will be making fruitless efforts.
The race is not for the fastest runner or battle for one capable of producing great physical force. Although God encourages hard work, any work done outside of Him leads to fruitless toiling. ‘‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)
The first step to living a life of success is to always acknowledge that you are nothing without God, don’t ever venture into any business thinking you are smart. Many who followed that track today are bankrupt. You can’t take away the influence of the Holy Spirit in anything that must succeed.
Therefore diligently appreciate the fatherhood of God in all your endeavors and He will open unlimited doors of possibilities for you.
PRAYER: Dear righteous father, help me to acknowledge you in all my endeavors and cause your countenance to shine on all that I do.
