BIBLE READING: ISAIAH 5,6; EPHESIANS 1
“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power” Ephesians 1:19 (KJV)
The God we serve is omnipotent. All power in heaven, on earth and even beneath the earth belongs to him. He has the power to create, power to heal, power to deliver. God’s mighty power is always at work. His power works for us, in us and through us. It works for us to bring salvation, deliverance, protection, provision and healing. God’s power works in us to cleanse us, to guide us, to equip and to empower us. God’s goal is to have his power work through us to reach our world. The whole world is in need of God so it will take the Christian in whom the power of God is at work to be an extension of the power of God to the sinners out there in the world.
This mighty power was put to work when God raised Christ from the dead. It was manifested when He lifted Jesus and made him to sit at the Father’s right hand in the heavenly places far above all principalities and powers and might and every name that is named. This power was put to work when all things were subjected under the feet of Christ. This mighty power is put to work when a sinner receives the life of Christ and his sins are forgiven. The believer in Christ is translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, from the kingdom of satan into the kingdom of God by the working of this mighty power.
Again, this mighty power will be put to work when the dead in Christ will be raised from the dead to rapture with other believers. It will be put to work when sinners will be judged and cast into the lake of fire.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, may this mighty power work for me, in me and through me in Jesus name.
