“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. – Leviticus 17:11(KJV)
The value of the ‘life’ is the measure of the value of the ‘blood’. Atonement is the reconciliation of God and mankind through the substitutional death of Jesus Christ. The value of God’s love for humanity is clearly shown by the sacrifice that was offered for the redemption of man. At the cross was a willing sacrifice that brought justification to the believer. It was a great price paid by love. The Blood of Jesus Christ purges our conscience from every dead work and releases us to serve the living God. – Hebrew 9:14.
In addition to making atonement for our souls the blood of Jesus is most potent weapon against the enemy for our total deliverance. If the life of the flesh is in the blood, it therefore means that it is the very life of God in the Blood that makes it produce results.
Leviticus 17:11 says ”For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” In essence it means that when you say “the blood of Jesus” God’s life answers. Anytime you invoke the blood of Jesus by faith, you are bringing God on the scene, and He has never been known to fail. God takes over the battle whenever you plead the blood of Jesus.
