BIBLE READING: NUMBERS 12, 13, 14; MARK 5:23-43
“And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague” Marks 5:34 (KJV).
Jesus heals and make whole. Doctors admit that they only treat but that healing only comes from Jesus. Healing and wholeness are part of God’s program for His people. Both healing and wholeness are received from God by faith. Healing may be for a particular sickness but wholeness is complete or total wellness. Wholeness has to do with spirit, soul and body.
The above scripture shows a lady with an issue of blood. This infirmity has cost her financially, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically and materially. Her faith in Jesus brought wholeness to her life.
God`s plan for us is not just healing or deliverance but wholeness. Hear what the scripture says: “Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thou soul prospereth” 3 John 2 (KJV). This is what it means to be made whole. It is a state of total wellbeing or wellness.
A critical analysis of the account in consideration shows certain steps the woman took that led to wholeness:
Step1 – She heard of Jesus
Step2 – She came from behind
Step3 – She reached out to touch Jesus garment
Step4 – She spoke faith words: if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
Step5 – She felt in her body that she was healed of that plague
Step6 – She came and fell down before Jesus and told him all the truth
Step7 – Jesus said unto her, thy faith has made thee whole. She believed and was made whole.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the wellness in Christ.
