BIBLE READING: NUMBERS 17, 18, 19; MARK 6:29-56
“And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered”. Mark 6:51 (KJV)
We face challenges in this side of life as we walk on our path of destiny. Christianity does not exempt us from the trials, temptations and challenges of life. It rather equips us to handle them and triumph over them. We build character and develop faith through the challenges we go through in life.
The goal of trials and these challenges is to discourage, distract or weaken us. As believers, we must learn to stand tall in faith in the face of these challenges knowing that they are not alien to the Christian faith. We must fix our eyes on Jesus and draw strength and grace from Him. We must remain in unbroken communion with the Holy Spirit and the word so we will be able to go through these challenges without giving in to them. We must understand that the greater one lives in us and that by faith in the name of Jesus, we can calm every ragging storm.
We can speak to every mountain by faith in the name of Jesus and they will move. Every storm of life is subject to faith in Jesus and his word.
Prayer: I speak calmness to every ragging storm in my life in Jesus name.
