Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 22,23,24; John 8:28-53
“And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” John 8:33 (KJV)
The Truth is God’s word. It is all about Jesus and what God has done for you and me through Him. The truth is everything about you that God has made available for you in Christ Jesus such that life is no longer a struggle for you as it is for many. Sadly, a lot of people still haven’t come to terms with the truth of scriptures, that is why there is so much struggle here on earth for them. Truth is all about why you are here and the purpose of God for your life. Myles Munroe once said, “when purpose is not know abuse is inevitable.”
Truth, to an individual, is God’s word that individual has captured in his heart. But whether you capture it or not, truth is truth. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 13:8 (KJV), “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” Your life starts and gets a new meaning the day the truth comes into your life. You begin to know the reason for everything around you and how you fit in or not in places where you once were.
Jesus is the truth. He says in John 14:6 (KJV), ”… I am the way, and the truth, and the life…” He is everything we need and will ever need. And He says it is given unto us, His disciples, to understand the things the kingdom has for us and use it (Mark 4:11). Getting to know the truth starts with believing and taking in His words in our heart. He says in John 8:31b (KJV), “if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples.” Consistency in His word makes us His disciples.
As we abide in Him and His word, He starts revealing truths to us about our lives, our relationship, our families, and everything that affects our lives. He so wants us to be comfortable in this uncomfortable world that He sends us His Spirit to help us know His mind on things that pertains to our lives. So, you have to consciously follow Jesus and keep His words iin your heart if you desire to get the truth of your life revealed to you.
