Bible Reading: Job 8,9&10; Acts 8:21-40
“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase” Job 8:7(KJV)
This is God’s principle for increase both in vision and business. When God gives a vision to an individual He takes him through the small beginning and through faith, perseverance commitment and dependency on God, He gradually expanded the vision thereby translating it to the mission. It is not in God’s agenda to call someone to a full blown vision from the onset. The builder of a house must of a necessity start from the foundation. No house started from the roof can stand. Our God is the master builder who gives a vision and gradually grow that vision through the individual to a great state.
We have examples of most earthly companies that are true example of above scriptural quote. Some started in motor garages and obscure places and grew in size and bounds. Such are companies that can withstand different type of storm. We also have very many examples of ministries that has grown beyond human conception from a very small beginning of below ten persons; examples abounds The Living Faith worldwide stated with a population of less than ten persons in a room, but through commitment, dedication, faith in God and His word with an undivided focus on God, that ministry that had its only branch in Kaduna in the 80’s has grown with branches in more than sixty countries of the world and more than ten thousand branches across Nigeria. This is a living example of small beginning with a latter great increase.
An acquired estate lasts longer and grows stronger than an inherited estate. Small beginning with God and hard work has the tendency of translating into a global conglomerate. This is the case with most companies such as Microsoft, Google, Macdonald Fast food etc. that has increase greatly through diligence and hard work. The bible lends support to diligence and hard work in Proverb 13:11(KJV) “Wealth gotten by vanity shall diminish; but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.” A well-documented vision with clarity of purpose coupled with dogged pursuit and patience is likely to produce a world class greatness in the later end.
My dear reader, in all we have said today the most important factor for tremendous increase and growth is the God factor. You cannot operate with the God factor without Jesus Christ our Saviour, as stated in John 14:6(KJV) “Jesus said unto him, I am the way , the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me.” So to have the God factor in your endeavour you must accept Christ into your life as Lord and Saviour.
Prayer: Father put forth Your hand to prosper the work of my hand.
