Bible Reading: Job 34, 35; Acts 15:1-21.
Memory Verse: “But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.” Acts 15:11 (KJV)
Grace is defined as unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification. Grace offers what every human being desperately needs but what God alone can provide. This grace is found only in a person, the Lord Jesus Christ and it is accessible only through an ongoing personal relationship with him. So to walk in Grace or have grace, you must surrender your life to God completely. Your body, soul, spirit must align with the word of God. This involves studying the word of God to know him more, living the word by obeying what you read and meditating on the word regularly. This often involves spending time in the presence of God fellowshipping with him. The more you fellowship with God, the greater your relationship with Him and the greater the Grace of God upon your life.
The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ saves you from sin and gives you the chance of entering heaven after death. Acts 15:11 (KJV) says, “But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.” After salvation, the Grace gives power to overcome sin and the temptations. It is also grace that makes you to enter into a true sanctification process with the Lord where He can then begin to mould, shape and transform you into the express image of Himself to make you a better and holy person. Romans 8:29 (KJV) states, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
Grace makes you to find your true divine destiny is in Jesus and what you are really created to be in life. Furthermore, grace gives you the supernatural power and ability to become successful in your calling. And lastly, Grace makes you to live in harmony and unity with your self, family, friends and neighbours.
So without the Grace of our Lord we can do nothing (John 15:5). The Grace of our Lord does not only save us from everlasting fire but gives us the power and ability to become everything we are called to if only we tap into it. The only way to Joy and fulfillment in this life is through accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and walking with him continuously thereafter.
Prayer point: Father, help me to walk with you so that I can be full of your grace all the days of my life in Jesus name.
