BIBLE READING : Isaiah 5; 6; Ephesians 1
“That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ” Ephesians 1:12 (KJV)
The life of a believer in Christ is meant to continually bring glory to God. To ensure this, God at redemption recreated us as his workmanship unto good works He has ordained to bring to him the desired glory. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” Ephesians 2:10 (KJV). It is in the doing of these good works that God derives glory. Walking in righteousness, carrying out ministry of soul winning, healing and deliverance to the captives bring glory to God. Serving God and bringing joy to humanity bring glory to God. Our worship, praise and acts of obedience all bring glory to our God. This is our calling and life purpose, to be to the praise of his glory. It is first a being and then the doing.
Walking in love, in obedience and in the light bring glory to God. He sees His son reproduced in us, He sees the fruit of His ransom sacrifice and He is well pleased. In our walk in Christ and our conformity to Him, the father sees the fruits of the seed He planted and his righteous spirit is gladdened. Like a wise farmer, He had only one son so He converted him to a seed so through him He can bring many sons to glory. As we walk in love and show forth the Christ life God is glorified that it was worth the sacrifice.
Prayer : May my life always bring to God the desired glory.
