BIBLE READING : Isaiah 7; 8; Ephedians 2
“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hand; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now, in Christ Jesus, ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ” Ephesians 2:11-13 (KJV).
Life here can be defined or accessed in terms of past, present and future. There is no guarantee that one will remain the same. It is only God who changes everything but cannot change. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” Hebrews 13:8 (KJV). As human beings who are not yet perfect, we continue to grow. Of course, growth is often associated with changes. While some change for worse others change for better.
The path of the believer should be that of constant improvement.“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” Proverb 4:18 (KJV). True progress in life is constantly conforming to Christ. This only begins by the transformation of new birth that makes one member of God’s family enabling one to live the Christ life.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the progress so far in conformity to Christ.
