Bible Reading: Jeremiah 27,28,29: Titus 3
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13(KJV)
A heart that desires to find God and be found of Him must be total in His search for Him. When the bible says ‘with all your heart,’ it connotes a total commitment and diligence. You cannot serve God half-heartedly and expect His manifestation in your life to produce results. God is not mocked whatever a man sows that shall he reap (Galatians 6:7). God’s standard is clear and unambiguous; if followed according to as it is stated in His word it produces an outstanding result both spiritually and physically. Joshua 1:8(KJV) clearly enunciated this, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth: but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and thou shalt have good success.” Even when you confess the word and meditate on it, it can only produce prosperity and good success if you observe to do according to all that is written therein.
Your search for God can only be through His word which are eternal in nature and carry tremendous power to produce. In the Word of God are divine secrets that only a genuine hunger, thirst and search can find. When we become recipients of these secrets we begin to witness divine relationship that guarantees our victory and success in life. When we come into the knowledge of divine secret through diligent search we become recipients of His presence and power. We find God through the revelation of the secrets things in His word. Deuteronomy 29:29(KJV), “The secret things belong unto our God; but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Also the bible says in Proverbs 25:2(KJV) that “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Finding God entails being rubbed-off of His divine nature which is made possible through His word. Hear what the scripture says in 2 Peter 1:4(KJV), “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” We are exposed to being elevated to kingship/divinity by the revelation of the embedded secrets in His word which is referred to as ‘exceeding great and precious promises.’ Samuel became one of the greatest prophet in Israel by the revelation of His word as stated in 1 Samuel 3:21(KJV), “And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.”
Diligent search for God entails making God first in all our dealings. This is what Christ meant in Matthew 6:33(KJV), “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” When we seek for God committedly we shall be found of Him and His presence in our life will attract favour, spiritual and physical upliftment.
My dear reader, the first step in seeking for God is to first surrender your life to Jesus Christ who suffered great humiliation and insults to adequately pay the price of your sin with His blood. Having Christ in your life opens the door for the entrance of the Holy Spirit, who is the Custodian of all divine secrets. It is my prayer that you urgently take this step now.
Prayer: Father empower me for a diligent search for You through Your word.
