Bible Reading: Joel 1, 2, 3, Revelation 5.
Memory Verse: “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10 (KJV).
Isaiah 61:6 (KJV) says “But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord : men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.” This is the plan of God for you as a Christian. You are expected to preach the gospel everywhere you find yourself and at every opportunity. More importantly, your behavior should stand you out as a Minister of God. Remember that the disciples of Christ were first called Christians at Antioch because they behaved like Christ. That is what is expected of every disciple of
Christ. That is what it means to be a Priest unto God. You should preach the gospel winning souls unto the kingdom of God by your proclamation, behavior and association.
How can you do this effectively? You need to know the word of God well such that your actions and thoughts will be guided by the word. Also you as a Christian is expected to live out the Bible such that your behavior exhibits that of Christ who lives in you. When such happens, your behavior will attract more people into the kingdom of God. The attracted people will readily submit to the Christians to guide them and lead them knowing that such leading will lead to a positive transformation. That is why the Bible says in Revelation 5:10 (KJV), “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.“
So you will reign on the earth if you are a true child of God. It does not matter what you are going through now, what is important is that God will make you a king over his kingdom on earth as long as you remain faithful to him till the end. Remember Ezekiel 33:13 (KJV), “When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.” So for you to reign, you must overcome to the end.
