Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 15-16; Luke 20:27-47.
Memory Verse: “And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Lord, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.” 2 Samuel 15:31 (KJV)
A married woman had no womb and she wanted to have children. So she prayed to God and got her Pastor to pray with her. A few months later, she was pregnant and she travelled abroad to have the baby. She was operated upon by an expert gyneacologist and by the time she woke up from the operation, she saw the doctor and others starring at her. Her first reaction was where are my babies and they said the babies were fine . The doctor then told her that in his decades of operation he had never delivered any woman without a womb of a baby talk less of twins in her case. So she was an exceptional case. That is what God can do. Whatever your situation, no matter how scientifically impossible it seems, God Almighty can turn it around. Just call on him believing that He will answer you and surely you will receive your miracle. He is the same yesterday, and today and forever ( Hebrews 13:8)
Your prayer can reverse the irreversible as long as you have faith and call on God Almighty. This was the case with David whose son sent him packing from the palace and he learnt that his counselor, Ahithophel who was filled with unusual wisdom was with his son. The Bible says of this counselor, in 2 Samuel 16:23 (KJV), “And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.” But David recognized that God can answer any prayer and reverse the irreversible. The Bible reports that in 2 Samuel 15:31 (KJV), “And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Lord, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.” By the time you get to 2 Samuel 17:23; David’s prayer had been answered; Ahithophel’s prayer was not honoured and he could not bare it and had to commit suicide! Every counsel of the wicked against your life, no matter how certain it had worked in the life of others, will fail in your own life in Jesus name.
God is still in the business of answering prayers if only you will commit yourself to a life of holiness and make your supplications to him in faith, you will never be put to shame.
Action Point:
Humbly commit that seemingly impossible situation to God’s hands today and see the Omnipotent God in action.
