“But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:” – Luke 20:35(KJV).
Who are those that shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world? Are you among them? What are the requirements for being accounted worthy? These are those who have not sold themselves to the world and the things therein. They are those who has forsaken the world and the pleasures therein. They are those who has demonstrated unfeigned faith in God and His world. They are those the bible said “seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently”. – 1 Peter 1:22(KJV). Those accounted worthy are those who have demonstrated charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and faith unfeigned. (1 Timothy 1:5(KJV)). The first and most important requirement is that you must be born again. Jesus said in John 3:3(KJV) “……..Verily, verily I say unto thee, accept a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”. You must renounce your old wicked ways and follow Christ. You must detached from the world and all it alluring pleasure to be counted worthy. You must be completely transformed as instructed thus “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conform to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God”. – Romans 12: 1-2(KJV) In another vein you must be living a translated life as stated in Colossians 1:12-13(KJV) “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son:”.
Review the above piece and convince yourself of your readiness to be accounted as worthy. The choice is yours. One thing I know and I am convinced of is that Jesus loves you. He paid the price of your sin in other to make you worthy. Are you ready to embrace His love? My prayer is that the Almighty God will grant you grace to embrace His unconditional love.
Prayer: Father, give me the grace to reciprocate your love to me. In Jesus name.
