Bible Reading: Song of Solomon 1-3, 2 Corinthians 12
Memory verse: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)
Grace is God’s ability coming upon us to do that which, if left on our own, we cannot do. Apostle Paul understood grace so much because he practically walked in it. He was not among the twelve, yet, his contributions has blessed and is blessing many today because of the grace of God he walked in consciously.
Grace comes on those who rely on, and trust in God. Galatians 2:20 (KJV) says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Grace is Christ living in us, believers, and through us. So the life I live is no longer mine. My body is now the temple of His Holy Spirit because Christ cannot be in you without His Spirit.
Proverbs 3.6 (NKJV) says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” If God is directing you it will be impossible to fail in your journey in life. Paul fulfilled his purpose in life because he consciously walked in the grace of God upon his life. When you truly come alive to your purpose and reasons for coming to this earth, hell will rage and throw your way persecutions, trials and tribulations, problems, etc. These have already been taken care of by Christ even before you came to the world. Jesus said despite these, Cheer up! He has overcomed them for you (John 16:33).
Grace will do more for us if we do all we do with a consciousness of God’s ability, Christ, in us. As long as you have decided to put God first in whatever you do; at work, at home, in your relationship, in Church, etc the enemy will raise his head. But, remember, Christ is in you, and you are already victorious in life. Be conscious of His grace upon your life.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for Christ in me, the hope of glory. Let me walk in this consciousness for the rest of my life in Jesus name.
