Bible Reading: Isaiah 39-40; Philippians 4
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” – Philippians 4:6 (KJV)
Christianity starts at the finish line and the place of victory. A child of God should not approach life as unto victory but from a place of victory because everything that concerns our lives and existence has been accomplished for us right from the foundations of the world “….although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” – Hebrews 4:3
The answer existed before the problem or issues of life.
Understand that God does not live in time and space as the natural man does. He is not bound by time. With God, yesterday, today and tomorrow are all before Him at the same time but in the physical three-dimensional world that we live in, things happen in a ‘serial’ manner i.e. one event precedes the other. This is why we have yesterday, today and tomorrow. With God, however, it is different. He spoke through Isaiah saying, “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, DECLARING THE END FROM THE BEGINNING, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” Isaiah 46:9-10. There is nothing that concerns your life that surprises God. God’s perspective of your life is a finished work of grace. Rather than being anxious about the next issues of your life, reach out to God that has the finished script of your life through prayer, supplication and thanksgiving as admonished in our text, and He will manifest what He has planned out for you.
We are called to see things from God’s superior perspective because when we see things from God’s perspective, nothing in this life will cause us to panic no matter the situation. The life of faith is about seeing things from God’s perspective that He has already finished what He started in our lives.
Prayer: Father, I receive grace not to be anxious and give in to worry because Christ in me holds my future.
