Bible Reading: Amos 7-9; Revelation 7
Memory Verse: “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;” Revelation 7:9 (KJV).
The Bible shows one of the key characteristics of Christianity in Revelation 7:9 (KJV), “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;” This multi racial, multinational, multi class, multilingual group was brought together after persecution and trials. They are the resurrected saints and are robed equally in white apparel with palms in their hands, speaking the same language and standing together saying “salvation to our God…. “ . This shows in detail that there is no segregation in Christ. No separation of black from white, rich from poor, educated from uneducated, General Overseers from members, etc. They are all equal in the presence of God wearing the same dress, staying together in the same place and even speaking the same language!
But to be part of these, you must have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour in addition to having worked your salvation with fear and trembling! And your garment must be unstained! This includes treating all those you come across with dignity and honour irrespective of their social background. So how are you treating people working with you? Do you show that they are a creation of the same creator and treat them with dignity! Also how do you treat the G.O’s and other anointed men of God? Do you give them respect as men of God or do you go to the extent of worshipping them though you recognize they are mere mortals like you? Stop dressing people in borrowed robes!
In addition to equality of souls shown by the way the great tribulation saints are arrayed in heaven, they worshipped God Almighty with the angels, the elders and the four beasts. This shows the importance of Worship to our God and it is important that you let all your activity on earth reflect that to God. Honouring God in your home, career, business, and other daily activities is therefore imperative as that is the reason for our creation. Revelation 4:11 (KJV) says, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” The essence of your being is to give glory to God!
