Bible Reading: Genesis 29-30; Matthew 10:24-42
Memory verse: “And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb” Genesis 30:22 (KJV)
For every person or thing created there is a purpose known by God and revealed by Him for such. Whenever a child is born it is for a purpose. This purpose can never be comprehended unless He reveals them to us.
Children are blessing to the world. They come in looking fragile and smallish but in each and every baby lies a solution to the world problems. God is aware of the situation in the world and He sends us helpers who come in the form of babies first, before taking their place in life.
However, it is a worry to most parents when a wife is having difficulty conceiving. It is rightly so because of the society we live in. Many things can be attributed to be the possible cause, ranging from health issue to other causes. People seldom look at the God factor. He is ever willing to give us assistance in any area of concern but He does them at the right time in His own will.
God is never late nor slow, He does things for us at His own time, and whenever He does it, that becomes the best time. So it was for Sarah when God remembered her (Genesis 21:1-2). And now for Rachel in Genesis 30:22 (KJV), “And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.” God didnt give Rachel this baby because of competition with her sister, Leah. No. It is His will for the baby to come. The baby came at the time God has appointed and to be prepared for a purpose far outweighing the concerns of the mother.
