Bible Reading: Exodus 13-15; Matthew 19:1-15
Memory verse: “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
Life today is a battle; the forces of evil trying to swallow up every thing or person representing God, but for the children of God we are more than conquerors. This is so because we only watch while our faith in God does the fighting for us through God. As long as your belief in Him is intact, the victory is certain.
It doesn’t matter who is against you; as long as you have God on your side victory is sure. Examples abound in scriptures of when God’s people where surrounded by enemies, yet, they came out of the situation unscathed. The bible tells us that these things were recorded to help grow our faith.
God, in today’s bible reading, altered the cause of nature just to keep His word for His people. When the Israelites were in the middle of the Egyptians and the sea, He had Moses tell them, “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” Exodus 14:14 (KJV). God divided the sea for His people to pass through! This is still a wonder to the whole world! But we serve a God of wonders who closed the same sea when the Egyptians tried to pass through and all perished. He kept His word; Israel held their peace!
It doesn’t matter the situation you find yourself, remember, He said several times, ‘I will never leave nor forsake you.’ He says in Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV), “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
The challenges we face today is not about how strong our enemies are but rather, where our faith lies. Consciousness of your God around you every day will make you more than a conqueror.
Prayer: Dear Father, let the consciousness of your presence around me be my dominant thought in Jesus name.
