Bible Reading: Joshua 9-10; Luke 3:1-End
“And all flesh shall see the salvation of God” Luke 3:6 (KJV)
The above focal scripture was spoken in prophecy by Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 40:5 (NKJV), “The glory of the LORD shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” Jesus Christ is that revealed glory that dwell among men and was beheld, touched and related with by men. He came in human flesh and participated in human activities without sin. John the beloved described Him in this manner, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” This prophecy of Isaiah was there in their scriptures but being blinded by their fleshy lust and desires could not see beyond the shroud of human flesh God’s glory in Christ. Few of the very committed worshippers of God were able to see through as they were led by the Holy Spirit. However, God’s glory was properly hidden in Christ so that the prophecy of human redemption will be accomplished. The bible says in John 1:10-11(KJV), “He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.” He manifested His glory, healing the sick, the lame walked, the blind saw, the deaf heard, the dumb spoke, He raised the dead and walked upon the sea. What a mighty manifestation of divine presence. It is no wonder then that the people marveled at Him and His acts.
Jesus Christ is God’s salvation to man which all flesh will acknowledge throughout the universe as the gospel is been preached around the entire globe. He is the good news of divine visitation and the manifestation of divine plan which is the salvation of man. Concerning Him the bible says in Isaiah 61:1-3(KJV), “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” This is the salvation of God that came to man through the manifested Christ Jesus, who is the incarnate Word of God.However, all flesh shall see the salvation of God, but not all flesh shall benefit from His manifestation. See what the bible says in John 1:12(KJV), “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” Understanding from this scripture also suggest that there will be those who will not receive Him or believe in His name.
My dear reader, which of this group are you? Receive or receive not, believe or believe not. The day is fast running out and the darkness is fast approaching, you must be urgent with your decision as per where you belong. We have entered into the last minute of the last hour of the last day the earlier you decide the better otherwise you may be caught unawares when the door is closed. Make hay while the sun shines. God bless you.
Prayer: O God, my Father, keep me steady on the track of righteousness in my pilgrimage.
