Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 10-12; Luke 19:29-48.
Memory Verse: “And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. [15] And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.” 2 Samuel 11:14-15 (KJV).
God is all knowing. No matter how hidden an issue is, God knows about it. Several years ago, there was a woman who was barren and the husband and herself had done everything possible medically but she was not pregnant. Then she was taken to a man of God who prayed but noticed that his prayer was not getting to her! In fact, he realized that the anointing would flow to his fingers and rather than flow to the woman will return back to him. He realized it was an unusual situation and therefore went to ask God what is responsible for the woman’s head rejecting the prayer. God told him to ask the woman how many boyfriends she had! The man of God said he was a bit rattled because of the status of the woman and the nature of the question. Nonetheless, because it was from God, he asked the woman, only to be told by her that she had six boy friends! Can you imagine a married woman looking for fruit of the womb, sleeping with six other men and coming to God for prayer!
She thought God will not know! This is similar to the action by David. He committed adultery with a woman and tried to cover it up by killing her husband. 2 Samuel 11:14-15 (KJV) records the murder process: “And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. [15] And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.” He probably thought God did not know. By the time God sent Prophet Nathan to him in 2 Samuel 12:1-8, he was surprised!
There is nothing going on that God does not know even where you think the track is covered! He has a record of everything. So what are you doing or have done that you think nobody is aware. It is possible no man knows but God Almighty has the record. You need to go to Him in prayer, confess your sins and ask for His mercy! Beyond this, it’s important you are conscious of this in anything you do. Always ask yourself, what will God say in any issue you are about to embark upon and let that decide your action. Listen to the nudge of the Holy Spirit within you in everything you do. However, if you are not born again, the Holy Spirit is not alive in you and you need to surrender your life to Jesus Christ to have the Holy Spirit active in you!
