“For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel”. – John 5:20(KJV)
If you love someone you will be open to that person and share things with that person.
In our scriptural verse today in John 5:20(KJV), the bible says ...”For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel”.
So you are expected to open up to your loved ones so that they have a good understanding of who you are . God shows us a good example by showing all things that he does to his son, Jesus Christ with a promise to show him even greater things.
This means we should open our heart to whoever we love. Recognizing this ,means, we will not do anything that will hurt that person. This is what is expected of us in respect of all our neighbours as we are expected to love them. Matthew 19:19(KJV) says …”Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself”.
How well do we love our neighbour? If we all obey this commandment of The Lord, how beautiful will this world be like?
As children of God, we should set example for others to follow. Let us show love to our neighbour even when they may not reciprocate as the bible enjoins us to do in Luke 6:35(KJV) …”But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil”. May God Almighty grant us the grace to truly love our neighbours.
Prayer: Father, help me to show love to all my neighbours in Jesus name.
