Bible Reading: Psalm 88-89; Romans 10.
Memory Verse: “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10 (KJV)
There are a number of implications for any disciple who is righteous by faith. These are works and effects of righteousness: Firstly, when you are righteous, you will have peace even in the midst of storms and that will give you quietness and assurance forever (Isaiah 32:17). When you are operating in righteousness, you will be free from oppression because you will not fear any terror for it will not come near you (Isaiah 54:14). It shall be well with you because you will eat the fruit of your righteousness! Isaiah 3:10 (KJV) affirms, “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him : for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” God further said through Prophet Isaiah that you will have divine protection if you have the righteousness of God (Isaiah 54:17).
You will experience promotion in your life because righteousness exalts a nation while sin is a reproach to any one. (Proverbs 14:34). Also, you will enjoy his divine presence as revealed in Psalm 17:15 (KJV), “As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”
A life of righteousness guarantees you anointing for gladness by God Almighty and divine prosperity as stated in Psalm 45:4-7. When you live in righteousness, (exercising justice, fairness, love to others) you will not only live well on earth but inherit the kingdom of your father which had been prepared from the foundation of the world (Matthew 25:34-40).
However you cannot be a partaker of all these blessings amongst others if you are not a child of the Almighty God. But you can become his child today by repenting of your sins and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. He will forgive you and give you a new heart that will make it possible for you to be righteous by faith! Romans 10:10 (KJV) says, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” And if you have given your life already but do not experience all these effects of righteousness, you need to examine yourself. Are you trying to be righteous by your work as the Jews do or being righteous by faith? Remember, the just shall live by faith!
