Bible Reading: Jeremiah 9-10; 1 Timothy 3.
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” – John 14:16-17
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to make you a success in every area of your life. Jesus introduced the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth. Jesus wasn’t referring to the truth as the opposite of a lie. The word ‘truth’ actually means REALITY and reality is a function of how much understanding, light, or knowledge someone has about a particular thing at a given time. For example, if you are in dark room everything will appear black but when light comes, the colors will become more lucid. What you initially felt was ‘black’ might actually be ‘cream’ and you won’t be telling a lie because of the light (understanding or knowledge) that was available to you at the time.
The primary work of the Holy Spirit in your life is to progressively bring you into greater understanding as He opens you up to the realities of the things that the ordinary mind might not yet have known or conceived. The way He does this is by giving you insights and revelations concerning life when you spend time looking into, hearing and meditating the Word of God.
You don’t need to be confused and stranded in any area of life. What you don’t know is what hasn’t been yet revealed to your mind and this is why Jesus sent the Holy Ghost to you as the Spirit of TRUTH. 1 Corinthians 2:12 says, “Now WE HAVE RECEIVED, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might KNOW THE THINGS that have BEEN FREELY GIVEN to us BY GOD.”
Everything that pertains to life and godliness has been freely given to you as a child of God (2 Peter 1:3) and you also have the Spirit of God – the Spirit of truth in you at all times to ‘reveal’ to you those things that have been freely given so that you can succeed in everything that you do! With the Holy Ghost in you, there is no way that you can be cheated on, defrauded, or fail because you have ‘reality’ in you.
Be more ‘Inward God’ conscious and you will enjoy the help of God’s Spirit because success is first a product of understanding.
PRAYER : Holy Spirit of God my helper, give me understanding and reveal to me the realities of the path of life that the Father has set for me.
