Bible Reading: Zechariah 4-6; Revelation 18.
Memory Verse: “Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.” Zechariah 4:7 KJV.
Nothing is impossible with God and it does not matter what the situation or circumstances you are facing at this time of the year, God can give you the solution within the shortest time frame. People face different challenging situations at different times and seasons of their lives but God can resolve any situation no matter how seemingly impossible it looks.
Sometimes, one of our companies was owed a sizable sum by an association and we did everything to make sure the head of the association ensured payment to no avail. We further learnt that the man was actually responsible for the major part of the debt as other members had almost fully repaid their indebtedness. This man was a man of means and we felt he had more than enough to ensure repayment. All our efforts to make the association were countered and it became a major challenge for our company. After a few years, the man suffered from a sickness and unfortunately died. At that time, it was as if everything was over. Suddenly, his estate paid the agreed sum at a time our company was not expecting it. It does not matter how impossible your situation is, God can level the mountain. Remember Zerubbabel was faced with a great challenge of rebuilding a temple in ruins and given the difficult environment, it appeared daunting that God had to send a message to Zerubbabel that the mountain shall be made plain! And certainly the temple was rebuilt!
Are you the one facing a daunting task, the Lord is telling you by this devotional, that you will overcome because that mountain ahead of you will be leveled by his Grace. He will cause you to receive an unusual favour that will cause you to burst out in praises. However there are a few things you need to ensure are in place for your testimony to be complete. You must have faith that the situation will be resolved. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37 (KJV). That means your actions towards the resolution is a testament to this. Remember, “But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) . Secondly, you need to ensure you are living in obedience to his word by living holy. The word of God says in Hebrews 12:14 KJV “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”
Also ensure you are diligent in prosecuting your assignment and more importantly, ensure you are born again. You cannot have faith in God or leave holy if you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Once you have these things then be rest assured that the word of God in Zechariah 4:7 (KJV) which says, “Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.” is addressing your situation and you will give a testimony soon in the mighty name of Jesus. However if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you need to start from there. Repent of your sins and call on him to forgive you and be your Saviour.
Prayer Point:
Father, level this great mountain confronting me in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
