TOPIC: LOOK OUT FOR GOD’S GOODNESS
“And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” – John 9:1-3 (KJV)
One of the things that Jesus came to do in His earth walk was to reveal to humanity God’s true identity. He came to reveal to mankind the God they never knew but sought for.
The moment the disciples of Jesus saw the man that was born blind they began to troubleshoot because they believe that God must have been punishing the poor blind man for something his father, mother, or some relatives did that he was not even aware of. What a wrong picture of God they had, and some believers today are not any different.
Jesus had to tell them that it was not God that put that man in that condition, and it had nothing to do with the parent’s sin, rather God in His loving kindness wanted to give the man a miracle. The blindness was the work of the devil who talked Adam into sinning against God and by that sin, plunged the whole human race into spiritual darkness that manifests itself through sickness, pain, heartache, anger, dissensions, war, and grief (Romans 5:15-17).
Rather than looking for what caused people’s problem why not help see the goodness of God so that faith will be built in them to receive of God’s goodness.
Today, Jesus is working through every believer who is willing to be used by God regardless of who or where they live to manifest the glory of God to a hurting world because God is a good Father. The way to bring hope to a dying world is not by looking for the cause-effect of their sin but by looking for what God can do in and through their situation.
As you walk in the consciousness of the Father’s loving-kindness you open yourself up to experience a greater manifestation of His goodness and glory in your life in Jesus’ Name.
Prayer: Thank You Jesus for the great price You paid for me to walk whole and free before the Father without fear. Help me to see the goodness of God in my life and the life of others in Jesus Name!
