TOPIC: GOD HAS GIVEN US A GOOD LAND
“A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.” – Deuteronomy 8:9-10 (KJV)
The Father in Christ Jesus has brought you to a good land. Prosperity and abundance are God’s desire for all of His creations. God has made everything available to His children to have and enjoy this abundant life (2 Peter 1:3). The Apostle John who physically walked with Jesus, ate with Him, saw Him crucified, raised by the power of God and ascended into heaven prayed in his prime in 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” He prayed this way because he believed that prosperity and abundance is God’s divine will for every beloved child of God.
As a child of God and a believer in Christ Jesus, you must first receive with joy in your heart that prosperity and abundance is the Father’s will for you and like our text says, “…Bless the Lord…” before you can start manifesting it. Jesus, in His finished work, paid the price for you to be wealthy beyond your wildest imagination. He has brought you into a good land and this good land is a spiritual place in Christ Jesus where everybody can eat without scarcity and lack.
All over the world people complain, whine and suffer lack because poverty is not a native of any geographic location. The ‘good’ land which God has brought us into is not a physical place; it is a spiritual place in Christ Jesus. This is why every “in Him,” “by Him,” “with Him,” “through Him” scripture in the New Testament is referring to your spiritual wealthy place in Christ Jesus. The land spoken of in Deuteronomy 8:7-10 is where Israel as a nation is located and you will be surprised to discover that the land doesn’t even have ‘precious minerals,’ yet God called it a good land, a land flowing with milk and honey, because what makes the land good is the spiritual substance called the blessing that God placed upon them.You are blessed because you are in Christ Jesus. You are favored because you are in Christ Jesus. You have the advantage in life because you are in Christ Jesus. The blessing of God is at work in your life and Proverbs 10:22 (NIV) says, “The blessing of the Lord BRINGS WEALTH, without painful toil for it.” If it is the blessing of the Lord, then it has definitely brought you wealth without painful toil.
Prayer: Father, thank you for bringing me into a good land because I am in Christ Jesus and the blessing of God has caused great wealth to come to me in Jesus’ precious Name.
