…Spreading the gospel of Christ

Word Meditation: 27/09/2015

There must be contention for every possession. For every party in government there must be an opposition party. All worthy possessions must attract and encounter strong opposition. We must engage the enemy in constant battle in order to possess all divine promises, because it is by these exceeding great and precious promises that we become partakers of His divine nature(2 Peter 1:4). This must be after we have overcome the corruption that is in the world through lust. Like the promise to Israel in the above scriptures, Satan’s defeat was a done deal at Calvary but we need to gain knowledge of that victory to operate in our own victory(John 8:32).

We also overcome the enemy in our continuous contention with him  by the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant  and by the Word of our testimony(Rev. 12:11) . These are divine instruments that silences the contenders of God’s divine promises to us. “For the testimony of Jesus  is the spirit of prophecy” – Rev. 19:10. In the daily reading of today the devil used the storm to contend with Peter’s faith. The enemy used the boisterous wind to raise doubt in Peter about his new spiritual elevation – walking on top of water. Peter took away his eyes from the LORD instead of looking unto Jesus who empowered him to come(Hebrew 12:2).

Prayer: Father give me the power and knowledge to possess all that you promised me in Jesus Name.
